In May 2009 she received a $250.00 stimulus check. Is she entitled to this towards her personal spending account or does it automatically go to the nursing home? The nursing home can give me an account of her social security payments but nothing for her personal spending which should of been $45.00 a month. If she never used the $45.00 a month am I entitled to receive the stimulus and personal spending allowance since she has now passed on? The nursing home is giving me very vague answers when it comes to me asking for an account of her personal spending account. What am I allowed to do to get this information? The accounting clerk is not very personable when it comes to asking questions, and since I am just getting over my mother's death, it's hard for me to be assertive enough to be firm with her.
