In 2008 on income basis I am eligible for $1200 of RRC and my kids have ITIN. Turbo tax is showing my RRC is $1200 not $1800. When I checked on IRS website calculator it is showing $1800. Can I apply for SSN for my kids now and file modified return after I got SSNs? Is there any condition that kids should have SSNs on particular date to get children RRC.
