I assumed (perhaps erroneously) that most of her prize money and endorsements are run through a closely-held company.  She wouldn&#039;t be an employee of the WTA but she could be an employee of &quot;Serena Williams Enterprises&quot; or some such.  I don&#039;t know this for sure but I would be extremely surprised to see her report it all on a Schedule C...</description>

Good post and an interesting question.  However, I would have thought that Serena, other than her endorsement contracts, would be an IC regarding tennis  income proper.  Those prizes are awarded by the WTA.  Is she an employee of them?</description>
