Although Avvo is a wonderful site for locating attorney's in your area with a focus in the type of law you need help with... many will only be for-fee attorneys. Your toughest challenge with a for-pay attorney will be getting their attention and presenting an interesting case so that they'd be willing to take you as a low cost or pro bono client.
