We already know that the government reserves the right to detain terrorists without charge - and anyone who donates money or renders aid to a terrorist can also be detained. I know, I know... the government would never use the law against its own citizens in such a manner and so forth. However, it is frightening that they have the <em>power</em> to do so. This is what is meant by "freedom isn't free". That is frightening – after all, who makes terroristic threats but a terrorists? We already know that the government reserves the right to detain terrorists without charge – and anyone who donates money or renders aid to a terrorist can also be detained.

I know, I know… the government would never use the law against its own citizens in such a manner and so forth. However, it is frightening that they have the power to do so. This is what is meant by “freedom isn’t free”.
