Thank you for taking control of this and reminding people that this is a discussion forum and not the Jerry Springer Show.

My father (an old time, experienced Boston cop) used to tell me that there are three ways to argue any case. 1) you can argue the facts; 2) If the facts won't work for you , argue the law; and 3) If the law won't work for you, call the other guy names. And, if all you can do is call the other guy names, pack up and go home because you're no longer helping anybody, you're clearly out-classed and now you're just a distraction.

We all gain when the discussion focuses on the facts and the law.

BOUT TIME.
As Thumper's mother said, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."
My Grandpa said "If you have to swear and cuss, your showing your lack of intelligence's and your size. It takes a big smart person to express themselves in straight forward, easy to understand words. The more you cuss the smaller and dumber you look."

Hey, I have a tax question that, maybe, someone can help me with. (If it's inappropriate for this venue, you won't see this because Kelly will delete it!)

I'm getting a divorce. I will be paying alimony for a while. Although my soon-to-be ex is a nice, capable lady, accounting and taxes are definitely a weak point for her. Estimated tax returns and payments wouldn't be easy for her. My question:
Is there any way I can arrange to withhold taxes from her alimony payments and pay them as required myself? And send her a 1099 or W-something at the end of the year? I don't want her to get mixed up and then have to calculate penalties and such on top of everything else.

Can anyone help?
