As excited as I am about the upcoming premiere of “90210″ (and no, I am not embarrassed to say that there’s not an episode of the old one that I haven’t seen), I am a bit perplexed as to why my readers are suddenly searching for news about Tori Spelling.
I haven’t posted about Tori since 2006 following the death of her father (and the ensuing inheritance drama).
Is there a Tori Spelling tax story that I should be aware of? Cause I haven’t seen one…
So maybe we were all wrong after all. After I posted that Tori Spelling stood to inherit a "significant portion" of her father’s estate, we find out that’s not necessarily true after all.
Us Weekly is now quoting sources that say that 33 year old Tori will inherit just $800,000 of the her father’s estimated $500 million estate as a result of estate planning documents revised a few months prior to death. Reports indicate that she will likely challenge the will based on an incapacity argument.
Who else stands to inherit from the estate? Candace Spelling, Aaron’s widow, of course. Randy Spelling, Tori’s brother, stands to inherit funds equal to Tori’s. And also mentioned? Candace Spelling’s interior designer, Aaron Spelling’s brother Danny, and Ernestine Young, Candace’s personal manicurist. Candace Spelling is named the sole executor of the estate.
Hmm? More drama to come? You betcha. I’m guessing Dynasty, Melrose Place and other Spelling productions will have nothing on this will contest…
