It’s back to school giveaway time!

I have a slew of great prizes to give away – and here’s how it works. Over the next few days, I’ll be posting back to school related stories, tax advice and strategies. At the same time, I’ll be posting queries that are widely not tax related but are school related – stuff like “tell me about your first day of school.” There are no right or wrong answers to those queries (okay, there are some right or wrong answers, read on).

When I post a giveaway query – which could happen any time of day or night – you’ll have a set time frame to post your comments. The time frame will be clearly noted in each giveaway post.

Post your response in the comments section of the post within the time frame (you’re welcome to post outside of the time frame, too, you just won’t be considered for the giveaway). It can be as long or as short as you want. Please don’t include any personally identifying information that you don’t want made public (your AGI, address, etc.).

Enter as many times as you like – but you must post a different story or comment each time. Linkbacks on their own, while appreciated, don’t count. And spam clearly doesn’t count.

My normal comment policy applies (you can read it here). I have standards, you know.

You must leave a valid email address (it will not be made public) so that I can contact you if you are a winner.

I will randomly select a winner from all of the qualified entries for each giveaway post. I’ll let you know if you’re a winner.

If there’s no winner within the time frame, I will withdraw the prize and use it again. Cause I can.

Due to shipping considerations, US and Canada mailing addresses only (sorry!).

Ooh, one more thing. There are never, ever any paid endorsements on my site. Evah. All of the giveaway prizes are either paid for by me (gulp) or are donated by vendors. For those vendors who have graciously donated prizes, I am devoting a little space to describing the prize – a photo, a blurb, a link. I can’t promise that I’ve reviewed, used or even heard of all of the products that I’m giving away. I do encourage you, however, to check out the products and draw your own conclusions.

Okay, got it? It’s easy peasy. Have fun… and keep an eye out!

Splendicity.

7 September 2007

All of this talk about shopping and money has gotten me thinking… And I realized that I haven’t yet mentioned the launch of Splendicity – a really cool site devoted to fashion and beauty. And not only is it launching, they’re giving away free stuff. Free is good. Take a gander.

Taxgirl Goes to the Movies!

27 June 2007

This summer, taxgirl is going to the movies!
Yeah, I’m one of those annoying people that you don’t want to see a movie with… I constantly question the tax consequences of plot lines. It’s a sickness. And since I’m such a giver, I’m sharing it with you!
That’s right. This summer, I’m asking [...]
