Richard Hatch Will Survive… In Jail.

Richard Hatch may survive but only after completing his 51 month prison sentence for tax evasion.
The former “Survivor” champion had filed an appeal to reduce his prison sentence after being convicted of not paying taxes on his “Survivor” winnings. The court failed to overturn the conviction, leaving Hatch to finish out his full sentence.

Here’s a newsflash: 
Richard Hatch doesn’t like prison.
I know, stunning.
Hatch continues to maintain his innocence, claiming that CBS had agreed to pay his taxes (but of course!), despite his being convicted on tax evasion charges.  He claims that his stay at the Federal Correctional Institution in Morgantown, WV, a minimum security facility, is "horrendous". [...]

Stretching his fifteen minutes even further, Richard Hatch of CBS’ "Survivor" went before a federal appeals court to argue against his conviction on tax evasion charges.  Hatch was convicted of failing to pay taxes when he took home the $1 million prize on "Survivor. Survivor Winner a Big Loser in Court

Survivor winner Richard Hatch who was previously convicted of tax evasion was sentenced today to more than four years in federal prison.
