We have a winner! See the correct answer in the comments.
Our next tax trivia question for the giveaway is:
This year, Tax Day is officially on April 18 and not on April 15 due to a local holiday. Two part question to win (must get both): name the holiday and where it’s observed.
The first correct answer wins free free CompleteTax online tax prep software.
Remember that you have to comment on the actual post, not on email, Twitter or Facebook, in order to win (though feel free to comment that way for fun). You can read the rules for the giveaway and more about the prizes here.
What’s your guess?
Emancipation Day, Washington DC
Emancipation Day, observed only in Washington D.C. Which, when I was practicing, I thought to be ironic since it postponed my own holiday: Tax Accountant Liberation Day (April 16th)
Emancipation Day in Washington DC
Looks like I’m too late. 🙁
First McDonalds opening, Peoria, IL
Emancipation Day, Washington DC
Since I already see the correct answer posted twice, I’m going to go with “Sorry about Congress day” observed in Interwebs, USA, just for the fun of it.
Emancipation Day, Washington D.C.
Well, that stinks – I didn’t get this in my email until just now =( I was beat by a whole day!
Patriot’s Day is celebrated in Massachusetts and often causes an extension because post offices are closed that day.
I am bummed since it postpones Tax Accountant Liberation Day and screws up that entire weekend! Kudos to Amanda for founding that holiday! Is there somewhere we can make it official!
Gabrielle is our winner!
