It was such a nice surprise to get up this morning and find my inbox and my Facebook wall filled with such kind birthday wishes! It means a lot to me. THANK YOU!
The last year has been filled with lots of personal and professional challenges. In the midst of all of the turmoil of my daughter’s illness, my dad’s surgery and other bumps along the road, I have been fortunate to have the support of my friends, family and colleagues to pull me through. I have been touched by the kindness of my readers who left comments, pinged me on Twitter and sent emails to let me know that you cared.
The year has also been marked by truly great moments. I have watched as my children grow up into these wonderful little people (albeit a bit crazy but still wonderful). I have had the opportunity to work for and alongside some amazing attorneys, tax professionals and writers. The recognition that I’ve received for the blog has been tremendously gratifying; thanks to each of you who drop by everyday to read and comment and share your views on the blog. I am so blessed to be able to get up every day and do something that I love and have folks notice my passion and my hard work.
And in the midst of all of the craziness of this year, my family, especially my husband, knew that I had to write. It is who I am. So pardon my sentimentality while I tell them publicly how much I love and appreciate them.
And of course, I couldn’t forget to thank the Phillies for clinching the NL East so early. My husband’s heart appreciates the early respite.
Happy Birthday, Kelly!
