That stalwart of tax news and information, E! Online, is reporting that one of Britney Spears’ numerous name-brand companies, Britney Online, Inc., owes $23,589.17 in California taxes from 2004. The state has slapped the company with a lien. Until the back taxes are paid, interest and penalty will continue to accrue.
E! isn’t reporting whether Britney’s other companies, Britney Touring, Britney Brands, Britney Films, Britney Television and FairyZone Productions are being investigated… but I’m willing to bet that they are getting a second look from California and the feds.
Britney’s judgment – from driving to financial decisions – has been the source of much speculation since her marriage to Kevin Federline in 2004. Since divorced, 2004 was apparently not a good year.
Britney has a great voice she will do well as a singer !
