Guest Post: Tax Base Builds or Kills Economies

Kelly Phillips ErbSeptember 1, 2011May 18, 2020

Guest post by Cowboy Joe:

Please read all this post.

History clearly shows that tax base is what builds or kills economies. When jobs are lost Taxes fall, more taxation is levied, more jobs fall and more taxation occurs. Both the once omnipotent Greek and Roman empires were at one time the worlds largest and most powerful. They are now the in the PIIGS category. Jobs went away taxes went up, welfare went up and soon they were little countries again. Thus we may infer that low taxes build and high taxes kill economies. OK?

We do not live in a free or REASONABLY REGULATED economy. Market economics are not what we have, we have excessive regulation and NO PROTECTION. Our ‘Trading Partners’ have in some cases VERY PROTECTIONIST LAWS. They also take unfair advantage of us Often. They manipulate their currencies and economies to favor only themselves. They cheat really well. Other of our Trading Partners are more like good friends. OK?

We need to get out of the selective world police business. It would be nice to regulate civilization into the whole world but we cannot do it. The Greeks failed at it and the Romans failed also. OK?

We absolutely must change our education system to one of WE not one of I. We must also educate our people better as to what is a wise choice and what is Seriously counterproductive purchase choice. Good choices make a good economy, bad choices tear it down. We are all connected by a common economy. OK?

I hate to say it but we must get more money in folks pockets and soon. More jobs or more pay, no way around it. Buying power makes an economy move well. I vote for more jobs. More jobs equals perhaps a tax cut and more taxes being collected.

Most radical thought. Tie results to political office holders. No results equals no job. Everyone in this country who works is required to produce results. We work and succeed, we get paid not fired hopefully. Politicians have no standard of success I have ever heard of here. Many countries may recall their government office holders if they do not succeed. Perhaps we must start towards such a system.

Thank you, good luck in the coming storm.
