Have a burning question for me and too timid to post it on the web? Prefer chatting instead? Ask the Taxgirl is going LIVE.
For the first segment, the topic is going to be questions about independent contractors – you know, those of you who do work for someone else but not as an employee. This includes a number of writers, bloggers, artists, freelancers, builders and service providers (architects, attorneys, accountants) – you get the picture. I’ll review some basics and take your questions.
The fun will happen on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
I’d love for you to participate! Listen, ask questions, call and say hello. Click on the button below for more details, including the call-in number (note that the call is not toll-free and regular charges apply). You can even sign up for a reminder email on the site!
Sounds interesting. I deal with ICs that tutor or teach art, music, science classes, etc at homeschool organizations (groups of homeschooled kids meeting once a week or so). It’s a nice income for retired people or stay at home moms with talent and experience. I’m always looking for guidance on determining IC or employee status.
Then by all means, stop by!
