It has been quite the week, starting out with an unexpected trip home to be with my family for my mom’s heart surgery. The days have been filled with doctors and nurses and hospital waiting rooms while the evenings have been attempts to catch up with my kiddos and husband over phone calls, Skypes, and emails. As a result, my posts have been all over the map… I am appreciative of your kind thoughts and your patience during this difficult time.
Fortunately, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Mom is making a tremendous recovery (her color is great, she is wiggling fingers and toes and laughing at our jokes) and she might move out of cardiac care soon. That means that things will get back to whatever passes for normal around here…
That also means that I’ll be back to answering your questions. I know that many of you are anxiously awaiting answers on forms 1099, insolvency, dependents, and more. I’m queuing them up and hope to post a spate of them shortly. It will be a virtual “Ask the taxgirl”-palooza any day now. If you have a question, check out these tips before you “ask the taxgirl.”
I have a few more giveaways on tap – and tax haiku (!) so keep reading.
