President’s Day – Guess The Tax Quote #1

Kelly Phillips ErbFebruary 18, 2008

Earlier this morning (or late last night, depending on your point of view), I spent a few hours tooling through some presidential quotes to match up with our business channel blogs. You can read the results here.

All of that said, I thought it would be fun to modify that a bit for taxgirl.com. So in honor of President’s Day, I’m going to toss out some presidential quotes. Try and guess who said which quote (all were uttered by presidents).

#1: To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.

So who said it? Guesses?
