Former Senator Tom Daschle has made a written request to President Obama to withdraw his nomination for Secretary of Health and Human Services. I will update you as I have more information.

    Me too. I think it was an embarrassment to the administration and to taxpayers.

    Does make one think, if folks like Daschle, Geithner, and Killefer (?) have such tax issues, how many others do? I normally pictured the tax gap to be a result of many many folks being a bit over-zealous in business deductions and like things.

    Daschle ought to employ the firm of J.K. Harris. They fight for us, and can usually substantially reduce our tax liability. In this case, Daschle could probably paid only a few thousand. HA!!!
