Nice link. Some seriously foul mouth women who don’t understand that even though Obama’s cut income taxes for the “middle class,” that the day will come when all this spending will have to be paid for and if you do the math, it won’t just be the rich paying for it. There aren’t enough rich people. Even if we confiscated all the “rich” people’s money, it wouldn’t cover the spending.
We live in a country where nobody cares about anything unless it directly effects them right now. They could really give a damn about what they leave for our children and grandchildren. It is a good thing our grandparents didn’t think that way. Besides, people are nuts if they actually think that conservatives are only reacting to Obama’s spending. Conservatives have railed against Bush’s spending for years and Obama just takes Bush’s spending to the next level. America hasn’t had a true conservative president since Reagan. It is no coincidence that we had 25 years of prosperity that started during his tenure. It is also no coincidence that the last eight years of massive spending and easy money have led to our current situation.
What I do not understand about this situation-is do you expect the government to do nothing. Naturally no one wants to bail out GM, Chrslyer, AIG etc. however, is the solution to let them fail-creating more unemployment, deeping the recession, tighting business credit; what exactly are the alternatives? There seems to be an “I worked” and “you didn’t” mentality to this-tell that to the individuals who have lost their jobs etc. Again, what are the alternatives-yes borrowing is not good-but the economy needs to be “stimulated” now. Finally, what are the alternatives to jump start and fix the economy-not tax cuts, because if the economy doesn’t improve taxes will not be an issue, the government won’t be collecting any.
