I just wanted to remind my readers that select IRS offices will be open tomorrow. Offices staffed by IRS will be open on Saturday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time. You can find an office near you on the IRS web site.
IRS Commish Doug Shulman has been talking up the expanded hours, noting:
We are opening our doors this Saturday to help taxpayers who may not have a chance to seek assistance during the work week. We are very focused on providing services to taxpayers when they want it, where they want it.
The IRS also expects to open many of its offices on two additional Saturdays later this year.
