Making The Switch

Kelly Phillips ErbMay 30, 2011

Sometime tomorrow, I’m pulling the switch and you’ll start to see my new and improved taxgirl site on Forbes. If you just can’t wait, you can check it out here, subscribe to the feed here and follow me on Forbes by clicking here. Of course, don’t forget about my Facebook page and twitter.

In terms of stories, if you haven’t made the switch manually, here’s what you missed this week:

  • Casey Anthony on Trial Liened by IRS
  • IRS Announces Relief for Joplin, Other Areas Affected By Storms
  • Is SDP Getting Schooled by IRS?
  • Budget Vote Shows Medicare Plan Vulnerable
  • GAO Voices Concerns (Again) About Contracts, Grants Awarded to Delinquent Taxpayers
  • Antitrust Suit Filed Against Top Tax Preparer H&R Block
  • Is Ryan’s Medicare Proposal the Right Kind of Change?
  • Making Sense of Where Tax Dollars Go

I have lots of good stuff planned for June. To kick things off, I’ll be starting a new series that appeals to the tax and history geek in me. And just because I’m excited about the series, I’m hosting a giveaway, too.

If I can manage to stay home this summer (note to Dad: no unplanned surgeries this year, please), I’m also planning on a new season of Taxgirl Goes to the Movies. Keep an eye out.

See you on the other side!

Good luck with the new site. You’ve done a great job with this one.

    Hi, Kelly,

I finally saw this new feed on my homepage and jumped on it. I thought you’d either gone on vacation or jumped off the edge of the earth (we all know it’s flat, right?).

Tried to post a comment on Forbes.com and got caught in a terminal do-loop (“to post a comment, log in.”, logged in, and got sent back to the artical with “to post a comment, log in.”). Hopefully, this will get fixed by the time you go live, LOL.

The link to subscribe to your new feed doesn’t work. I don’t want to miss anything. Can it be fixed?

    Thanks for the feedback guys!

@ Bob – not sure why it’s not working for you. I tried it (http://blogs.forbes.com/kellyphillipserb/feed) and it worked fine for me. Can you email me the details of what’s happening when you try it? I’ll see what I can find out. Thanks!

@Melody – my dad had the same problem (haha!). I think it got fixed. Can you try again? It might require you to login after you initially sign up to prevent bots. If it still doesn’t work, let me know.

@Brad – thanks! This one isn’t really going away… just moving over to Forbes.
