Today’s Getting To Know You Tuesday post features Brian Borawski, CPA. Brian offers tax, accounting and financial management tips on his web site at Brian Borawski, CPA, PC. Here’s what Brian had to say:

1. Where are you now?
In my office, which is in the basement of my house.

2. What’s your official title and what does it mean?
Principal which means I’m the owner

3. What books are on your night stand?
The Six Pillars of Self Esteem by Nathaniel Branden and The Innocents by David Baldacci

4. If you weren’t working in the tax profession, what would your dream job be?
Baseball Reporter

5. What’s the last movie that you saw (DVD or in the theatre)?
Amazing Spiderman

6. Tax is a huge subject. What’s your area of special interest?
Taxation for real estate investors

7. What’s the best tax or financial advice that anyone ever gave you?
Buy assets, not liabilities (Robert Kiyosaki)

8. Coffee or tea?
Neither

9. Name five artists on your iPod (or mp3 player).
Metallica, Green Day, Big Time Rush (my son listened to them for a while), John Williams and Linkin Park

10. What would I be surprised to know about you?
For a while I started a network of baseball websites that I sold advertising on and my work is in over a dozen baseball books.

11. What college did you attend (in what subject)?
Michigan State University, B.A in Accounting and MBA in Professional Accounting with an emphasis in tax.

12. If you had the opportunity to make one change in the tax code tomorrow – an extra credit, a disallowed deduction, whatever – what would it be?
Make charitable contributions a credit instead of a deduction.

13. What’s the best thing on TV right now?
I don’t watch much television but the one show I enjoy the most is Star Wars: The Clone Wars when it’s on.

14. What do you think Congress will repeal first: estate tax or AMT?
The AMT although they’ll probably replace it with something with something just as complicated and non-sensical.

15. If Uncle Sam handed you a huge refund check right now, what would you do with it?
Invest the money

16. Biggest tax newsmaker: Obama, Bloomberg or Buffett?
Obama

17. And, other than taxgirl, what’s your favorite tax related web site?
I get most of my information from the tax page on the Wall Street Journals’ website.
