A refund? What are you spending it on?
Thirty-five percent of taxpayers who expect to receive a tax rebate this year plan to use the money to pay utility, credit card, housing or other bills. This is according to an AP/AOL Money & Finance poll. Those numbers are up a few points from the twenty-seven percent who made the same statements a year ago. One-third said they were saving or investing the money. That leaves just under a third that will do something else… I’m thinking they’re going shopping!
As a family, we are not getting a refund this year but we will receive the ridiculous rebate. I’ve already posted about how I plan on spending my rebate check (looks like I’m in line with most of America). How about you?

As a former tax professional (currently a CPA in industry), I can tell you that I HATE having my hard earned money doled out to others. Unfortunately, I make too much to get a “rebate” or “advance” on next years refund.
Screw congress.

First of all - I want to see the refund.
Second, with all prices going up - the refund will be gone quickly. A typical gov’t program. Give with one hand and take away with the other.
I like the way the politicians are saying, “look what we are giving you” - they forget it is our money to beinb with!
I’d like to save the refund but will need it to cover increasing costs for energy and health care.
