A couple of quick things to note as we get closer to tax season…
1, I recommend that you search my site before asking your question. I might have already answered it and it will save you some agita. Use the search feature in the sidebar or browse the ask the taxgirl category.
2, Don’t panic if your question doesn’t get answered immediately. I have been receiving a number of questions per day and I’m sorting them according to a number of factors, including time sensitivity, reader interest (how many readers have asked similar questions) and content (I try not to answer the same category of questions twice in a row).
3, Finally, read my ask the taxgirl guidelines. It’s good stuff!
