Guest Post: Economy Fixes

Guest post by James Cole:

  1. Repeal the mortgage deduction for second homes and cap mortgage interest deductions for homes valuations at over 1 million dollars.
  2. Repeal the earned income credit.
  3. Repeal the Bush TEMPORARY tax cuts for people making over $250,000 a year.
  4. Sell the THOUSANDS of empty federal buildings. Not only would the government save 200 million a year in up keep of those buildings but it would also reap some money from the sale itself.
  5. Lift the current income cap for people paying the Social Security tax and tax all the income above the current cap at 7.5% (half the regular rate). Maintain the benefit levels as they currently stand.
  6. Repeal the tax deductions for big oil and corporate jets.
  7. Change the corporate tax code to a rate of 20% for profits made in the USA and keep it at 35% for all profits made outside the USA…
  8. End the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Reframe from entering wars in the future.
  9. End air fare subsidies nationwide
  10. End subsidies for ethanol…..it just does not work.
  11. End all agricultural Subsidies for all agri-businesses grossing over 1 million dollars a year

There you have it….everyone gets a little hit….jobs are created and the current fiscal problems solved!!!! It is NOT that hard to figure out!!!
