Clearly we need some statutory controls on spending. A GOP congress is always composed of fiscal hawks when a Democrat is in the White House, however, when a Republican is in the White Hose, they are a body of FISCAL RUBBER STAMPS! The last GOP Congress funded the creation of Homeland Security, funded blatant foreign interventionism in Iraq , and continued the grossly ineffective border control policies of the past.
I say any congress that gives us an unbalanced budget should be ineligible for reelection!
I also have a lot of concern regarding where internationalized commerce is taking us as a country. I believe the interests of business and interests of the country are diverging. I don’t see how exporting high wage jobs and importing low wage workers helps this country. Citizens who are healthy but unproductive need to be compelled to take jobs available in agriculture currently being done by non citizens. Also, how can an H1B program be justified when unemployment and underemployment is %25??????
