Stephen Yagman Tries to Stay Out of Jail – Again

February 1, 2008 · 1 comment

Following his convictions for tax evasion and bankruptcy fraud in June 2007, former celebrated civil rights attorney Stephen Yagman was sentenced to three years in federal prison. He has yet to go to jail, although his sentence was scheduled to begin on Tuesday.

Yagman was scheduled to begin serving his sentence on January 15, 2008.
However, he successfully won an extension due to the death of his aunt in New York.

Now he’s trying again. Yagman has filed a petition before the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals appealing his denial of bail. U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson had initially denied Yagman’s request to remain free on bail while he appeals his conviction.

Let him rot in there. He lost me the day he decided to sue LAPD for the North Hollywood shootout, scumbag lawyer. He would not last 5 minutes as a Police Officer yet tried to dictate how they should have reacted during the biggest shootout in history.
