I recently received a letter from the state of california saying I owed ( state ) taxes from years 1994 and 2005 . Now my question is the 1994 taxes isnt after so many years you dont have to save your records i am very surprized that they would go back that many years ?? what should I do ??

I live in PA and the state doesn’t have a staute on taxes. So, California may not either. What I would do? See what they are trying to collect on and if you don’t think you owe it explain why, or if you do…pay up!
